How to Create a Transfer Enrollment involving Homebound/Homebase

BEGINNING WITH THE 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR WE WILL NEED TO CREATE A SEPARATE ENROLLMENT RECORD FOR THE TIME THAT A STUDENT IS PLACED ON HOMEBOUND OR HOMEBASED (Administrative Homebound).

If a student is transferred out before creating a line of enrollment for Homebound/Homebased,

  • Transfer the student back to the in district school.
  • Create a new enrollment record for the Homebound enrollment dates.
  • Then transfer the student's record back out.
  • The attendance may have to be fixed from the back-end

If the student resides in the APS school before a new line of enrollment is created for Homebound/Homebased,

  • Transfer the student back to the school
  • Create the new enrollment line
  • Then transfer back to APS
  • The attendance may have to be fixed from the back-end

If a student begins the first day of enrollment in APS and will not be in the school while receiving Homebound/Homebased,

  • Leave the student in APS
  • Create the new line of enrollment for Homebound/Homebased services

If a student transfers in to the district school and is receiving Homebound/Homebased services on the same day,

  • Leave the original entry code from the transfer
  • Add "Homebound" or "Homebased" to the end of entry comment
  • Example: Entry Comment = VCU Medical Center, VA - Homebound
