When there is a student in PowerSchool that has two Student ID#s, the enrollment clerk and SIS Specialist must work together to merge the information. Example: #9609256xx and #9609258xx. This is a result of not using the District Search before enrolling a new student. The original record, the lower number, is the correct one #9609256xx in the example above.

If the student was previously in Case Study, the duplicate might also appear in VAIEP online. Contact VAIEP online to merge the two. The SIS Specialist will remove the duplicate record once VAIEP online is showing the correct record. Let the SIS Specialist know if the overnight merge is successful in VAIEP. Confirm which record remains in VAIEP. Then the duplicate records can be merged in PowerSchool.
